Fashion Fridays! Keira Knightley's Oscar Dress by Vera Wang

One shouldered garments are one of the trends for Spring 2007.
The one shouldered look was the most popular in the 1970's. It was often featured in Grecian inspired dresses or disco dresses. The look also made a small resurgence in the late 90's.

Back in May of 2006 Keira Knightley auctioned off the gown that she wore to the Oscars on ebay. Her one shouldered Vera Wang gown raised 4,301 British Pounds for Oxfam's East African food crisis appeal. To read more about the sale of her dress head over to Oxfam's Generation Why (once at the website scroll all the way down to the bottom to read the article).

The evening gown pictured on the bottom is by Ruben Panis.
This 1980's gown is made out of black taffeta and has a similar look to the one above by Vera Wang.
The gown measures 36" Chest, 29" Waist and 37" Hips.
You can purchase this gown over at Tangerine Boutique for $350-
