I have a mod 60's camel wool cape. The cape buttons up near the side of my neck with gold buttons and has a matching belt.
Last year when I was wearing my cape in the fall and winter the local Portland fashion designers and design students were falling all over themselves trying to check out my cape and how it worked.
And now here we are with capes being the hot thing to have for this fall.
Capes are wonderfully stylish items of clothing.
But, beware! If not worn correctly, capes can make a person look dowdy.
Capes are best when worn with a fitted skirt or pants and a pair of boots or heels.
Combining capes with the afore mentioned items helps elongate the look of the body.
The black cape pictured above is from the Ralph Lauren Collection.
This cape features a shawl collar and one button at the front.
It is selling for $2,498- over at Bergdorf Goodman.
