-How long have you been collecting vintage clothing for and What got you into vintage?
I started with costume jewelry when I was in college theater and the clothes started more as a result of theater in the late 1960's.
-How long have you owned your store for?
-What are your favorite eras of clothing and What do you like about clothing from these eras?
New Look for both men and women, at this point it is wearable in modern sizes and the fabrics are still wearable.
-Who are some of your favorite vintage designers?
Lilli Ann, Ceil Chapman, Dorothy O'Hara, Lilly Diamond, for women
-Do you have any favorite modern designers?
I really don't follow new designers.
-What would be your ultimate vintage find?
Fortuny Delphos gown would be one thing, maybe a pair of late 1800's Levis.
-What are your favorite vintage movies, music and television programs?
I enjoy vintage movies that show period clothing and sets. Marx brothers films are good for this mid-century looks. Anything with Joan Crawford or Davis or Lana Turner also show good fashions. I love 80's alternative music, and stupid comedies on T.V.
-Do you collect any other types of collectibles or antiques?
I seem to rescue chipped and broken antiques and give them a good home.
