Lulu's Photos from The First Annual Portland Easter Hat Parade

LuluComment

This past Saturday was The First Annual Easter Hat Parade. It rained on our parade- but, we didn't let that stop us! Twenty ladies of all ages were at Pioneer Courthouse Square decked out in fun and fine millinery.

Gaby Tanaka had the most creative of the Women's hats. It had moss, flowers, a fake bird and a fun little creature. Her umbrella was also great...

Sharon of Victorian Ladies read the article in the newspaper that day and assembled a fabulous outfit to come down and parade in...

Linda Roach and her husband...

This young lady had a pretty lace hat on...

This girl saw the article in the Oregonian and told her grandma she wanted to come down. So, she chose one of her grandma's hats and added a fancy ribbon to it...

This girl had a fun interpretation of an Easter bonnet, made up of eggs, flowers and Easter grass...

Elizabeth Rohloff and Dayna Pinkham, Portland milliners extraordinaire...

Melissa with a Barbie appendage adorned bonnet...

Rolhoff and friends...

We stopped by the lobby of the Benson for a quick photo shoot on their beautiful stairs...

My brother Eric, Sister-in-law Laurence and their hat adorned baby Bea met us along the route to say hello...

We survived the pouring rain we encountered all along our parade route and arrived at Elephants Delicatessen ready for some drinks and food, and the warmth of being inside...

Jen in a cute cloche...

Posing at Elephant's...

Carye in her coordinated yellow accessories with her Easter basket...

Cheers! Thanks to all who attended and made this such an enjoyable event...

I have already started thinking of ideas for 2011's Hat Parade, including possibly a change of dates.
