I spent Monday at my parent's house sorting through things in my childhood bedroom. It had been awhile since I had been in my bedroom and I had forgotten that I had a Peter Murphy poster on my wall. That got me thinking about Peter Murphy and of how I had wanted to see him in concert but, I never had. I intended to come to my store on Tuesday and Google Peter Murphy concert Portland to see if he was on tour- but, I forgot. Tuesday night I was sitting in bed reading when my phone buzzed because I got a text from my friend saying she was at the Peter Murphy concert and wondered if I was there. I couldn't believe it! If I had only remembered to Google Peter Murphy concert Portland I could have seen him last night. I have this eerie intuition ability and if I had only followed through on the cues that the universe was giving me I could have seen Peter Murphy.
By the way I think that Peter Murphy is one of the sexiest men alive...
As for my childhood bedroom it was originally painted yellow and then as a fun surprise when I came back from outdoor school my mom and brother had painted it white and pink with the intention of putting a wallpaper border over the middle dividing the two colors. Obviously the wallpaper border never happened so you can still see the pencil line that divides the white from the pink. Pink was not instinctively my favorite color but, my best friend at the time loved pink and therefore pink became my favorite color.
I am embarking on an archaeological dig of my childhood and young adulthood at my parents house and I will share with you in future posts what I unearth.
