The Prairie Village Museum & The Geographical Center of North America in Rugby, North Dakota

LuluComment

The Prairie Village Museum is a great find located near the Geographical Center of North America in Rugby, North Dakota.

What makes this museum so interesting is it's huge array of period buildings and artifacts. It's an eclectic mix of traditional buildings that you would find on the prairie completely furnished and decorated with items from the period, and warehouse buildings filled with miscellaneous collections...

The interior of the dress shop...

One room country school house...

Chris posing next to a life-size replica of Clifford Thompson who was 8' 7" tall...

A fun mural located inside of the Sylvia Consolidated School...

Chris bellying up to the bar in the old saloon...

The marker for the Geographical Center of North America...
